Parent Update 8/31/17
Hello Eagle Crest Families,
We are off to another great start to the school year. The new construction looks great and we can’t wait for all students to experience some of the new and exciting features available to them. One is the new “Garage” located right when you walk into the school. All kids will be attending a new class in this space on a regular basis geared around Science, Technology, Engineering and Innovation. We are very excited about this new opportunity and look forward to sharing these experiences with you throughout the year.
Please help us with some new rule changes that will hopefully make our school an even safer place to be. We are now asking that students and parents not play on the equipment before school starts. Over the past few years we’ve had many injuries and arguments take place during this time. We feel strongly that this will limit those incidents and help get students off to a positive start.
We are also asking parents to help make our drop off/pick-up area both safe and efficient. Please use our designated crosswalks and sidewalks when dropping off and picking up your student. Modeling this for other students is important so we all learn the best ways to keep ourselves safe in this busy environment. PLEASE help us in the main drop-off/pick-up loop by not stopping for too long or leaving your vehicle unattended. This lane is meant to be a quick drop off so that we can get as many people through the loop as possible. This won’t happen if we don’t all follow the rules. If you need more time please use our parking lot or parking located out on Clover Basin.
Thanks for all your help and support. Thanks for all you do to make Eagle Crest such a great place to learn.

We need volunteers throughout the year and for different types of events. A paper version of the volunteer sign-up went home in this week’s Thursday folder; however, you do NOT need to sign up via paper if you’ve already done so online. Because we need to have volunteers sign up each year, we ask that everyone register again this year even if they have previously. Thank you!
King Soopers cards are a wonderful and easy way to support our school. 5% back on all purchases makes a huge difference. If you need a new card, please stop by the office or contact the PTO at email@example.com.
Please consider savings Box Tops for Education for our school. This is an easy way to raise money that will benefit the students at Eagle Crest. Your student can turn them in to their classroom teacher or you can drop them off in the entry way at the front of the school. Click on the link above to get started!
If you shop on Amazon, please consider using Amazon Smile to give back to Eagle Crest. Start your purchase at www.smile.amazon.com and search for Eagle Crest Elementary Parent Teacher Organization to select us as your charity. Each time you shop on Amazon, they will donate .5% of what you spend to our school. It's a little bit that adds up to a lot!
For more information on ways to get involved with the PTO, please visit our new website at www.eaglecrestpto.com. And as always, thank you!
