COVID-19 has drastically impacted our Ugandan partner schools and the livelihoods of their students. Now that Ugandan schools are indefinitely closed, students are not receiving school lunches and teachers are not receiving pay. The Mwebaza Foundation is hosting a variety of summer fundraisers to alleviate food and income shortages at our partner schools and their surrounding communities. Money raised will purchase meal kits that will be distributed to school families in need. We will also use funds to supplement teacher salaries until schools reopen and provide more scholarships to students whose parents have been affected by COVID-19 restrictions. In recent months, we’ve become acutely aware that our global community is only as strong as its local villages. We have the capability to help our Ugandan partners make it through these trying times and to provide an improved quality of life, whenever we reach the other side of this pandemic. If you would like to help, please click here to donate. You can also check out the Summer Club to discover other avenues to assist our partner schools.
