Then join Ms. Freehill for an amazing hour of creating, communicating and inspiring each other to take action to improve our school and the world. ● The Global Kid’s Club is a new after school club open to 4th and 5th grade students who wantto use the Design Thinking Process, and technology to build empathy and develop more globalconnections. Watch this video to learn why global education is vital to our lives.● When? Thursdays: 3:10-4:10 starting September 20 through May 2, 2019.● Where? in the Garage at Eagle Crest● Who? 4th and 5th graders from Eagle Crest● Semester 1 topic: How might we explore the diversity of Eagle Crest so that we can celebratewhat makes our school special? We will make make virtual connections with Empatico, Google Earth,and Google Tour Builder.● Semester 2 topic: How might we support the Global Sustainable Development goals to createsolutions for our global problems. Students will use the National Geographic Learning Frameworksto design projects to make our world more sustainable and work to support our sister school or ourlocal community.● Check out this Powerpoint with videos to learn more.
