August 12th Information

Welcome Back!

I want to welcome everyone back and especially the new families to our school.  While it will look different, we are all excited to begin the new year.  Our entire staff is working hard to make sure things go smoothly and teachers are prepping for synchronous (live, real-time) and asynchronous (flexible) instruction, as well as independent student assignments/work.

If you have any questions, please fell free to email me or call the office.

MATERIAL DISTRIBUTION
On Thursday August 13th and Friday, August 14th we will be distributing iPads to our families.  (If you have one from the spring, you will not need to turn it in.  Please use that device for one of your students.)  Other items distributed will be curriculum workbooks (grade level dependent), classroom reading materials, June items not picked up, yearbooks, and a few other important miscellaneous items.

8/13 Grades 3-5   8:30-2:30. (younger siblings may also pick up their items on this day

8/14 Grades k-2   8:30-2:30

Protocol:

  • Please write the names of children in your vehicle and their grade level on a piece of paper (dark enough and large enough that we can read it from a distance) and place in the front passenger dashboard.

  • You will enter the school parking lot and line up in the bus loop and follow the cones and signs to the pick-up spot.

  • Families will remain in their vehicles and items will be handed to you through the passenger side window.

  • We would like all parents taking the bags from our staff to wear a mask as all the elementary staff will be wearing masks for the safety of everyone.

  • Please return library books and any other school related items students have. You will place these in a plastic bin at your car window.

  • It is imperative that you please remain in your vehicle and in the drop-off lane. We are unable to bring items to parked vehicles in the parking lots.

  • We know many of you live close, however, we want parents to drive through the bus loop to maintain social distancing and prevent gatherings. Thank you for your assistance with this.

If you miss this event, please contact the office to schedule a pick-up appointment.  303-485-6073

School Supplies/Backpacks
We are encouraging families to purchase school supplies.  Many teachers will be asking families to use materials from the district list.
Families in need of backpacks can pick up anytime at the school or on the distribution days, 8/13 & 8/14.

MWEBAZA FUNDRAISER
We are almost finished with the MWEBAZA fundraiser.  If you can, there is still a few days left to support our sister school. We are very close to our goal! Please go to either link to find out how to donate and where your donations go.
