Are you a leader who wants to make the world a better place?
 
Then join Ms. Freehill for an amazing hour of creating, communicating and inspiring each other to
 
take action to improve our school and the world.
 
● The Global Kid’s Club is a new after school club open to 4th and 5th grade students who want
to use the Design Thinking Process, and technology to build empathy and develop more global
connections. Watch this video to learn why global education is vital to our lives.
● When? Thursdays: 3:10-4:10 starting September 20 through May 2, 2019.
● Where? in the Garage at Eagle Crest
● Who? 4th and 5th graders from Eagle Crest
● Semester 1 topic: How might we explore the diversity of Eagle Crest so that we can celebrate
what makes our school special? We will make make virtual connections with Empatico, Google Earth,
and Google Tour Builder.
● Semester 2 topic: How might we support the Global Sustainable Development goals to create
solutions for our global problems. Students will use the National Geographic Learning Frameworks
to design projects to make our world more sustainable and work to support our sister school or our
local community.

● COST $30.00 for supplies. Scholarships available.
